BI Reporting, Uploading Multiple Selections

One of the things that is currently bugging me with BI is the lack of an 'Upload' for multiple Selections.

For example say you want to pick/load 100 specific Customers/Outlets you have to manually key in each new line.  In BW (SAPBEX) using Excel and embedded query's for instance you would simply load in a Customer/Outlet list as CSV data and then drill-it any which way.

Does anyone know of a workaround?

I am looking at writing a Ribbon Control that will automating IE to read and load a list from Excel.  Is anyone interested in such a Control?  It would be an additional Control that would reside in my XLRibbonX AddIn.
